CEIA MUJERES INTERNATIONAL
“Things are not said, they are done, because when they are done they are said alone“
(Woody Allen)
The CEIA Mujeres International Chapters is responsible for bolstering an international network of women engaged in arbitration, identifying a group of women in each jurisdiction that may be interested in replicating CEIA Mujeres activities and success programs, such as the mentoring programme.
CEIA Mujeres International Chapters builds bridges with active women of the various CEIA International Chapters, with mutual benefits for both sides.
The Club has, lesson more no less, than 30 international chapters, with members of CEA Mujeres in each of them. In fact, many of those responsible for the chapters are women. From the beginning we have counted on the members of the chapters, both men and women, to try to develop the objectives of the Pledge and the activities of our group as much as possible.
Achieving equality of opportunity and in representation in arbitral appointments requires that such equality be applied at initial stages, taking measures to improve the profile of women, making them visible, giving them the floor at conferences and events, promoting new channels that help everyone identify the magnificent female arbitrators that our community has and can have, to get to know them, to keep them in mind, to learn how much they can contribute, how much their point of view can complement and nurture the selction, the tribunals, the debates and, finally, the resolution of proceedures where women are increasingly becoming main main actors, female executives, in-house counsels , entrepreneurs with their own businesses and companies. We cannot afford to miss out on their perspective.
The International Chapters have played a key role in the development of the mentoring programme, and many international mentors, especially from Latin America, have offered their expertise and advice to people from all over the world.
The collaboration of the International Chapters has been and continues to be crucial for the development of a number of international events of the CEIA Mujeres.
